Job summary

Dignity Health is seeking a Radiation Therapist to accurately deliver prescribed radiation therapy to cancer patients, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the course of treatment.

The role requires preparation, patient positioning, operation of Varian/ARIA systems, and coordination with dosimetrists and physicists to document and verify treatment parameters. A California license and ARRT registration are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of accredited school of radiation therapy.
• Registered in Radiation Therapy by the ARRT and licensed as a Radiation Therapist by the California Department of Public Health.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed courses of radiation therapy with clinical precision and patient comfort.
• Position patients, operate radiation equipment, and perform daily quality assurance checks.
• Monitor patients and communicate treatment process to patients, family, and caregivers.
• Prepare patients for treatment and ensure correct positioning and imaging for treatment verification.
• Program equipment to deliver treatment as prescribed and document treatment electronically.
