Job summary

Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a day shift, full-time Satellite Oncology Radiation Therapist (RT) to join our team. You will administer cancer radiotherapy, perform verification and quality checks, and support safe patient care under Radiation Oncologist direction.

The role requires CAHEA radiologic training, Varian/VisionRT experience, and NM Radiation Therapy license. A sign-on bonus up to $20,000 and relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA radiologic program or equivalent.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiation safety procedures.
• 3 years (5 preferred) full-time experience in Varian clinic environment with VisionRT surface guidance (tattoo-less).
• CT Simulation with current Philips Brilliance but upgrade planned.
• Experience with Varian Edge including multi-isocenter setups and Hyperarc SRS.
• Epic Electronic Health Record software.
• NM Radiation Therapy License.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provides health care services using ionizing radiation to administer treatment of cancer in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist.
• Performs therapeutic, diagnostic, and quality control procedures.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

• Graduate of the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) radiologic program or equivalent.
• Knowledge of a variety of software applicant programs; Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and Radiation Safety procedures.
• 3 years (5 preferred) full time experience in Varian clinic environment with VisionRT surface guidance (tattoo-less)
• CT Simulation with current Philips Brilliance but upgrade planned
• Experience with Varian Edge including multi-isocenter setups and Hyperarc SRS
