Job summary

City of Hope Wildomar is seeking a compassionate Radiation Therapist to join our oncology team, delivering precise radiation treatments with Halcyon technology under the supervision of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
• ARRT certification required.
• Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.
• Halcyon and IX Linac experience preferred but not required.
• RTT I/II/Senior titles depend on credentials and years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and record radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
• Enter and maintain patient treatment parameters into the EMR.
• Assist in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
• Maintain patient appointment schedules and submit correct billing information.
• Cut blocks when applicable and prepare molds as needed.
• Interpret computerized treatment plans and ensure accurate dose delivery.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Salary hourly ranges :

RTT I- $49.69-$67.11

RTT II-$54.28-$73.28

RTT SR.-$62.93-$85.00

SCOPE: Under direct supervision, administers radiation therapy treatments to patients. Accuracy in positioning the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated tumor volume and accurately delivering the prescribed dose are paramount job functions. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities

• Accurately delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
• Accurately enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into electronic medical record.
• Participates in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
• Assists in maintaining patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information.
• Accurately cuts blocks, when applicable.
• Accurately makes custom molds.
• Accurately interprets a computerized treatment plan.
• Maintains clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
• ARRT certification required.
• Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.
• Halcyon and IX Linac experience preffered (but not required)
• Radition Therapist I: requires 0-3 years of experience
• Radiation Therapist II : requires 3-5 years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.
• Senior Radiation Therapist : requires 5+ years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.
