Job Overview

The Radiation Therapist delivers accurate therapeutic doses of radiation to precisely defined targets for curative and palliative treatment of cancer/benign neoplasms. Responsibilities include therapy simulation, constructing patient immobilization devices prior to treatment, and supporting patient treatment and departmental activities such as chart checks and answering phones.

Qualifications

• Completion of a JCAHO-accredited program in radiation therapy
• Current certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
• Licensure with the Washington State Department of Health
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
• Proficiency in PC and software packages (e.g., MS Office); knowledge of radiation therapy software (e.g., IMPAC) is a plus
