Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking a Sr. Radiation Therapist to join our Proton Team. This full-time, day-shift role offers a $15,000 sign-on and a minimum/hourly range from $53.55 to $88.32, with comprehensive benefits.

The proton center uses Hitachi Gantry and Vision RT to treat pediatric and adult patients. Responsibilities include coordinating area functions, reviewing prescriptions, maintaining equipment, and interviewing patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy.
• Valid CPR Card.
• Three years of experience.
• Attention to detail is a must.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate treatment area functions (patient under treatment, new patient set-ups, scheduling).
• Review treatment prescription, diagnosis, chart, and patient identification prior to treatment.
• Maintain emergency equipment and supply stock.
• Interview patients for history.

Sibley Memorial Hospital is a non‑profit, full service 318‑bed acute care community hospital serving the Washington, DC area. Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24‑hour Emergency Department. Sibley’s campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers; and the new patient tower with 200 spacious, private rooms.

We are searching for a Sr. Radiation Therapist to join our elite Proton Team at Sibley Memorial Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate treatment area functions (patient under treatment, new patient set‑ups, scheduling).
• Reviews treatment prescription, diagnosis, chart, and patient identification prior to treatment.
• Maintains emergency equipment and supply stock.
• Interviews patients for history.

Our Proton center uses the Hitachi Gantry for pencil beam scanning and Vision RT for surface guided radiation therapy. We service a large number of pediatric patients with and without sedation as we team with Children's National Medical Center. The department has three (3) treatment rooms and sees an average of 20 patients per day per room.

Qualifications

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
• Valid CPR Card.
• Three (3) years of experience.
• Attention to detail is a must.

Shift & Work Hours

Full Time (40 hours) – Day Shift.

Salary Range

Minimum $53.55/hour – Maximum $88.32/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
