Job Summary:

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for accurately delivering therapeutic radiation treatments and conducting simulations for patient treatments under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist. The role requires a thorough understanding of radiation therapy principles, patient assessment skills, and effective interpersonal communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Administer daily radiation therapy treatments to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients efficiently and accurately, adhering to scheduling needs.
  2. Maintain detailed records of treatments and other required documentation.
  3. Participate in the orientation and training of new radiation therapists, including treatment protocols and procedures, providing timely feedback to the clinic director.
  4. Perform CT simulation procedures and clinical simulations following department protocols.
  5. Perform additional duties as assigned, beyond those listed.

Position Qualifications:
  • Certifications: Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Work Experience: Relevant experience preferred
  • Experience Level: Less than 1 year
  • Education: Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program
