Job summary

Compass Cancer Center seeks a Radiation Therapist to deliver accurate radiation therapy treatments and ensure patient needs are met. You will maintain treatment schedules, operate treatment machines, and provide professional care in a compliant setting.

Responsibilities include performing simulations, delivering IGRT treatments under supervision, and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations while upholding patient safety and organizational standards.

Qualifications

• ARRT Certification in Therapy (RT, T) or eligible.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a radiation therapist.
• Proficient in radiation therapy workflows and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Understand the proper use of the patient immobilization/repositioning system and devices for IGRT.
• Under supervision, perform initial simulation of the patient and generate imaging data for the RTP system.
• Implement IGRT treatment plans under supervision of the oncologist/physicist or dosimetrist.
• Apply ALARA principles to minimize exposure to patient and staff.
• Maintain records of treatments and equipment; report malfunctions.
