Qualifications

  • High School or equivalent; Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in an accredited Radiation Therapy Education Program.
  • 3+ years radiation therapy experience with demonstrated strong technical leadership skills for Radiation Therapist II.
  • Graduate of an accredited Bachelor's in Radiation Therapy Program.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI simulation procedures under the guidance of the Radiation Oncologist.
  • Deliver radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by physicians.
  • Work with MRI Linear Accelerator and Varian Ethos Machine.

Radiation Therapist I / II - Radiation Oncology (Per Diem)

Join our team as a Radiation Therapist I/II, where you will play a vital role in making a difference in the lives of patients and advancing cancer care. Under the guidance of the Radiation Oncologist, you will perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) simulation procedures when applicable, following radiation therapy standards. Your responsibilities will also include delivering radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by physicians, which may involve various procedures such as IMRT, SRS, SBRT, TBI, TBE, HDR, and CT-based simulations. Within this department, you will work with our MRI Linear Accelerator (MRIdian MR Linac made by ViewRay) and our Varian Ethos Machine (Adaptive Intelligence Linac).

Additional Note: This position requires flexibility to accommodate varying patient needs. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, and holidays. On-call responsibilities and mandatory overtime may also be necessary.

Your qualifications
  • High School or equivalent; Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in an accredited Radiation Therapy Education Program
  • >3 years radiation therapy experience with demonstrated strong technical leadership skills (for Radiation Therapist II); <3 years radiation therapy experience will be considered for Radiation Therapist I
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology course plus radiation therapy course OR
  • Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy Program
  • Licensed by the California State Department of Health (Certified in Radiation Therapy)
  • Certification by the ARRT – in Radiation Therapy CRT
  • BLS or CPR
  • Hourly Per Diem Rate for RT II: $80.01/hr
  • Hourly Per Diem Rate for RT I: $74.26/hr
