Radiation Therapist I / II - Radiation Oncology (Per Diem)

Additional Note

This position requires flexibility to accommodate varying patient needs. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, and holidays. On‑call responsibilities and mandatory overtime may also be necessary.

As a successful candidate, you will:
  • Deliver a prescribed and planned course of radiation therapy to patients of all ages.
  • Operate the MRI control console for each patient’s scan, including selection of proper imaging techniques and operation of various peripheral hardware.
  • Reinforce recommendations given to patient by healthcare professional concerning reaction to treatment and care of radiated area, prevention, or treatment of generalized and local side effects.
  • Perform simulation procedures as prescribed by physician and assist in dosimetry procedures.
  • Perform diagnostic testing on equipment, general maintenance, and quality assurance as appropriate.
  • Experience with Aria is highly preferred.
Your qualifications should include:
  • High School or equivalent; Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in an accredited Radiation Therapy Education Program.
  • 3 years radiation therapy experience with demonstrated strong technical leadership skills (for Radiation Therapist II); < 3 years radiation therapy experience will be considered for Radiation Therapist I.
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology course plus radiation therapy course OR graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy Program.
  • Licensed by the California State Department of Health (Certified in Radiation Therapy).
  • Certification by the ARRT – in Radiation Therapy CRT.
  • BLS or CPR certification.
  • Hourly Per Diem Rate for RT II: $80.01/hr.
  • Hourly Per Diem Rate for RT I: $74.26/hr.
