Job summary

Merit Health River Region Medical Center in Mississippi is seeking a Radiation Therapist to deliver prescribed radiation therapy, ensure correct patient positioning, and operate treatment machines safely.

You will perform CT simulations, verify treatment parameters, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with the oncology team to support high-quality patient care while adhering to QA and regulatory standards. ARR\;T-T certification and 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred.
• ARRT-T certification + state licensure may be required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers prescribed radiation therapy treatments and verifies parameters.
• Positions patients and adjusts equipment per treatment plan.
• Performs daily QA checks on treatment machines and simulation equipment.
• Conducts CT simulations and obtains verification images.
• Maintains treatment records and dose documentation.
• Explains procedures to patients and addresses concerns.
• Monitors patients for adverse reactions and reports complications.
• Maintains radiation safety and regulatory compliance.
• Maintains clean and ready treatment rooms.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with policies.
