Job summary

MercyOne Clinton Medical Center is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join our on-site team. You will assist the Radiation Oncologist in preparing patients for therapy and deliver treatments under supervision, documenting dosages in daily logs for adult to geriatric patients.

We require ARRT (T) certification, a valid Iowa Permit to Practice, and BLS within 3 months of hire. Strong patient care skills and familiarity with linear accelerators are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Radiation Therapist.

As a Radiation Therapist at MercyOne, you will assist the Radiation Oncologist in preparing the patient for radiation therapy treatments. Under the supervision/direction of the radiation physicist and oncologist, give radiation therapy treatments. Document in daily logs the correct dosages utilized. Ages of patients served range in age from adult to geriatric.

Schedule:

• 36 hours a week

• Monday - Friday

• 7:00a - 3:30p

• No weekends

• No Holidays

General Requirements:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (T)

• Iowa Department of Public Health Permit to Practice

• BLS certified within 3 months of hire

• Know basic patient care skills, operation of oxygen equipment, radiation therapy treatment equipment, record and verify system, Linear Accelerator Unit, simulation and block preparation skills
