The role requires graduation from an accredited radiation oncology program and NY LRT licensure, ARRT certification, and a focus on safety, patient comfort, and collaboration with the oncology team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a formal radiation oncology technology program with ARRT certification.
• New York State Licensure (L.R.T) required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• ARRT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized radiation therapy treatments in consultation with oncology team.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions.
• Assess reactions to treatments and advise on side effects and relief methods.
• Operate imaging and treatment equipment used in therapy.
• Schedule patient visits and ensure proper patient positioning.
