Ron Sunshine Associates LLC in Ithaca, NY is seeking a Radiation Therapist to work days on-site, in a FLEX schedule, under an oncologist as part of a medical team.

The role delivers precise radiation treatments, assesses patient responses, explains procedures, and ensures safety and quality assurance of imaging and treatment equipment. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are included.

Formación

• Graduate of a formal radiation oncology technology program with ARRT certification.
• Current New York State LRT license required.
• 1 year experience as radiation therapist preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide individualized radiation therapy treatments to patients in consultation with the oncology team.
• Explain the process to patients and answer questions.
• Assess patients' reactions to treatments and advise on side effects and alleviation methods.
• Understand and operate various imaging and treatment equipment.
• Collect and manage relevant patient information.
• Help ensure proper positioning of patients for treatment using masks and immobilization equipment.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed for patient, family and staff.
• Perform quality assurance tests on simulation and treatment machines to ensure proper operation.
• Schedule patient visits to follow the treatment plan.
