Qualifications

• Technical Diploma/Certificate in Radiation Therapy is required.
• Registered Technologist - Radiation Therapy (RTT) in Florida upon hire required.
• Registered Technologist (ARRT) Radiation Therapy upon hire required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS) required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Receives and reviews requests for therapy.
• Accepts patients and assesses their condition to determine proper handling and special requirements.
• Explains and prepares the patient for the procedure.
• Interviews patients and reviews clinical data to alert staff to contradictions.
• Implements medical plan of care and related procedures for patient care.
• Maintains accurate documentation of nursing care for healthcare team.
• Maintains radiation equipment and rooms in proper working condition; reports malfunctions.
• Maintains current knowledge/certification/licensure; pursues professional growth.
• Assist in other duties to support department needs.
• May be required to stay on campus before/during/after severe weather or disasters.
