Job summary

AdventHealth in Palm Coast, FL is seeking a Radiation Therapist to evaluate imaging, verify treatment parameters, and perform CT simulation under physician guidance. The role requires documentation in the electronic health record, adherence to ALARA safety principles, and active collaboration with the oncology team.

Responsibilities include QA on the treatment unit, patient positioning, and after-hours coverage as needed, while maintaining professional communication with patients of all ages.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiation Therapy or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Registration with ARRT and Florida license per state regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate prescribed imaging and document changes within 24 hours.
• Verify patient positioning and treatment parameters daily.
• Perform CT simulation and medical imaging tasks.
• Maintain QA on treatment unit and report malfunctions.
• Assist in education experiences for students meeting curriculum requirements.
• Provide after-hours on-call coverage as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families.
