Qualifications include an Associate’s degree in Radiation Therapy, RT (ARRT) licensure, and BLS certification; 1+ year of experience preferred. Florida background screening may apply by state law.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy required.
• Licensure as RT (ARRT) and BLS required.
• 1+ year experience as a radiation therapist preferred.
• Registered Technologist – Therapy (RT(T)(ARRT)) required.
• Background screening as per Florida law may apply.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates prescribed imaging and documents changes within 24 hours; records in EMR and V&R systems.
• Reviews new starts for consistency; verifies patient positioning and treatment parameters.
• Performs morning QA on treatment unit and responds to equipment malfunctions.
• Assists in education experiences for students fulfilling curriculum requirements.
• Participates in after-hours on-call coverage and 2D treatment calculations as needed.
• Verifies physician prescription and daily treatment parameters for accuracy.
• Positions patient consistently to match treatment plan.
• Assesses patient needs and resolves issues in consultation with supervisor.
• Performs CT Simulation including contrast under physician direction.
• Reports adverse reactions promptly.
