Job summary

City of Hope Temecula is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Radiation Therapist to join our oncology team. Whether you're an experienced therapist or a new graduate, you'll be part of a collaborative team delivering world-class cancer care in Temecula, CA.

Responsibilities include delivering treatments, maintaining treatment parameters in EMR, and participating in instruction of new staff and students. Opportunities for growth, potential float to other sites, and a supportive environment are

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
• ARRT certification required.
• Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.
• Varian IX & Siemens CT experience preferred (but not required).
• Radiation Therapist I: 0–3 years experience.
• Radiation Therapist II: 3–7 years experience.
• Senior Radiation Therapist: 7+ years experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under supervision of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
• Enters and maintains patient treatment parameters in the EMR.
• Participates in clinical instruction of new therapists and students.
• Maintains patient appointment schedules and submits correct billing information.
• Cuts blocks when applicable.
• Makes custom molds.
• Interprets computerized treatment plans.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• May float to sister sites in San Bernardino and Wildomar if needed.

Salary Hourly Ranges

• RTT I- $49.69-$67.11


• RTT II- $54.28-$73.28


• RTT SR- $62.93-$85.00

Applicants will be hired into the appropriate title based on their credentials and years of experience applicable.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.


• Accurately enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into electronic medical record.


• Participates in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.


• Assists in maintaining patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information.


• Accurately cuts blocks, when applicable.


• Accurately makes custom molds.


• Accurately interprets a computerized treatment plan.


• Maintains clean, safe, and organized work environment.


• If needed, this role may require floating to our sister sites in San Bernardino and Wildomar

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.


• ARRT certification required.


• Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.


• Varian IX & Siemens CT experience preffered (but not required)


• Radiation Therapist I: requires 0-3 years of experience


• Radiation Therapist II: requires 3-7 years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.


• Senior Radiation Therapist: requires 7+ years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.
