Job summary

Silicon Valley Oncology in Campbell, CA is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join our team. Under supervision, you will administer treatments, position beams accurately, and record patient parameters in the electronic medical record. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

We offer RTT I/II and Senior RTT tracks with a $15,000 sign-on bonus. ARRT certification and California licensure are required; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
• ARRT certification required. Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.
• Radiation Therapist I : 0-3 years experience active RTT practice.
• Radiation Therapist II : minimum 3 years experience active RTT practice.
• Senior Radiation Therapist : 7+ years experience active RTT practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and record radiation therapy treatments under direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
• Enter and maintain patient treatment parameters in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in clinical instruction of new hires and students.
• Maintain patient appointment schedule and submit accurate billing information.
• Cut blocks and create custom molds as applicable.
• Interprets a computerized treatment plan and ensure safety and cleanliness.

Salary :

RTT I - $49.81-$67.24

RTT II- $48.85 -$79.94

Sr. RTT- $54.78-$89.64

Applicants will be hired into the appropriate title based on their credentials and years of experience applicable

SCOPE: Under direct supervision, administers radiation therapy treatments to patients. Accuracy in positioning the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated tumor volume and accurately delivering the prescribed dose are paramount job functions. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accurately delivers and records radiation therapy treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist and chief radiation therapist.
• Accurately enters and maintains patient treatment parameters into electronic medical record.
• Participates in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students.
• Assists in maintaining patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information.
• Accurately cuts blocks, when applicable.
• Accurately makes custom molds.
• Accurately completes simple mu calculations.
• Accurately interprets a computerized treatment plan.
• Maintains clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
• ARRT certification required. Must hold valid state license for radiation therapy.
• Radiation Therapist I : requires 0-3 years experience actively practicing as an RTT.
• Radiation Therapist II : requires minimum 3 years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.
• Senior Radiation Therapist : requires 7+ years of experience actively practicing as an RTT.
