Corewell Health's Radiation Oncology team in Reed City seeks a dedicated Radiation Therapist to operate CT simulators, deliver and verify daily treatment courses, and record all patient data. Under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist, you will ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging and therapy.

The role requires ARRT certification and BLS, with a day shift on-site; you will collaborate with physicians and oncology staff to provide high-quality patient care at the Susan P Wheatlake

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
• Vocational/technical related field required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred in related field.
• CRT-Radiation Therapist with ARRT within 60 days.
• BLS certification within first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT simulators to deliver and verify routine treatment courses.
• Record treatment data and perform machine warm-ups as needed.
• Communicate with patients and families, using independent judgment.
• Collaborate with radiation oncology team to ensure quality patient care.

Scope of work

Under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist and in collaboration with other members of the health care team, uses clinical skills to accurately run CT simulators, deliver, verify and record routine courses of treatment. Assumes shift accountability including machine warm-ups. Utilizes independent judgment and problem solving skills in communicating with patients/families and employees.

Qualifications

• Required Vocational/Technical a related field; Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field preferred
• CRT-Radiation Therapist - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist within 60 Days required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross required within first 90 days
