Responsibilities

• Prepare, compile, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and dosimetrists to deliver treatments.
• Schedule tasks and ensure medical records and billing data are correct.
• Operate radiation therapy equipment safely.
• Follow safety policies and HIPAA regulations.
• Perform daily QA checks and report malfunctions.
• Educate patients about procedures and side effects.
• Participate in continuing education to stay current.
• Manage LINAC, Kodak CR, and C-T equipment QA daily.

Position: Radiation Therapist

Location: Taylor Regional Cancer Center, 125 Greenbriar Dr. Campbellsville, Kentucky

Schedule: FT position- day shift

What You’ll Do

• Ability to prepare, compile, and maintain accurate and concise documentation.
• Collaborates effectively with physician and dosimetrist daily to deliver radiation therapy treatments accurately following physician orders and treatment plans.
• Assist with scheduling and uploads correct information for medical records and billing departments.
• Operates medical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follows all regulatory and hospital safety, radiation, and infection control policies.
• Follows HIPAA compliance.
• Exhibits professional decision making and proper course of action.
• Perform daily equipment warm-ups, quality assurance checks, and report any malfunctions.
• Provides patient education about treatment procedures and side effect management.
• Participates in all required continuing education to stay current with radiation therapy advancements.
• Performs quality assurance daily and assumes responsibility for LINACC, Kodak CR and C-T

What We’re Looking For

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy required
• Valid KY state and ARRT license.
• 1-2+ experience preferred.
