Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, invites applications for a PRN Radiation Therapist. The role requires completion of a JRCERT-accredited program and ARRT registration or registry eligibility, with eligibility to sit for Radiation Therapy Certification within a year.

Six months of experience in a multi-disciplinary Radiation Therapy Department is preferred. No travel is required; competitive benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Graduate of JRCERT accredited School of Radiography and/or Radiation Therapy.
• Preferred BS in Radiologic Technology or related discipline.
• Must be ARRT registered or registry eligible.
• Must be eligible to sit for Radiation Therapy Certification and become registered within one year of employment.
• CEU’s for re-certification required.
• Preferred License: ARRT registered in Radiation Therapy.
• Minimum six months experience in a multi-disciplined Radiation Therapy Department.
• Experience gained through clinical education program acceptable.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Required Education: Graduate of JRCERT accredited School of Radiography and /or Radiation Therapy. Approved experience gained through a clinical education program is acceptable. Preferred Experience: None Working Conditions: Attached OSHA Category: Potential for exposure to blood or body fluids. Patient Care Group: Patients of all ages including the neonate, child, adolescent, geriatric, and the dying patient. Orientation, continuing education, knowledge and skills are developed as appropriate for these categories.
