Job summary

Aalo Atomics is recruiting a Radiological Controls Supervisor to lead Radiological Control Technicians at the Idaho Falls site. You will direct the field program, oversee surveys, instrument checks, and compliance with 10 CFR 835 and DOE guidelines.

The role emphasizes mentoring technicians, leading ALARA activities, and coordinating with Plant Operations and the Nuclear Facility Manager to maintain safe radiological conditions during operations and outages.

Qualifications

• Requires at least ten years of radiological control experience at a DOE site, national laboratory, or commercial nuclear facility.
• Minimum three years supervising or leading Radiological Control Technicians.
• Qualified Radiological Control Technician under DOE-STD-1098 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Radiological Control Technicians: schedules, coverage, shift and callout.
• Execute the radiological survey program with dose rate, contamination, and airborne surveys.
• Review radiological work permits and conduct pre-job briefings.
• Administer the instrument program and sensor status; manage sealed source inventory.
• Maintain postings and boundaries; manage contamination control and monitoring.
• Mentor technicians and participate in DOE training programs.
