Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Radiation Protection Technician in the Oklahoma City, OK office.

You will conduct radiological surveys, operate equipment, and ensure regulatory compliance in critical operations while supporting safety leadership and training others. You will monitor contamination, perform routine and special surveys, and assist in incident management with a focus on protecting personnel and the public.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience performing radiation and contamination surveys, preferably at a uranium fuel cycle facility.
• Minimum of 2 years of operational experience as a qualified Engineering Laboratory Technician, Radiation Control Technician or Health Physics Technician.
• Technical understanding of nuclear principles and operations.
• Must be able to perform physical requirements (lift 40 pounds, stand/walk 4–6 hours).
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision and as part of a radiation protection team.
• Proficiency with current computer business applications.
• Anticipated travel about 10%.

Responsibilities

• Radiological Survey & Sampling: Collect samples and perform radiological surveys; operate air samplers and radiation protection equipment.
• Radiation Protection & Control: Provide radiological controls during operations; respond to incidents and train others.
• Radiological Incident Management: Support assessments and audits related to radiological incidents; log results.
• Data Analysis & Instrumentation: TestSurvey instruments; perform calculations with calculators or spreadsheets.
• Regulatory Compliance & Safety: Follow NRC regulations and CFR guidelines; maintain decontamination procedures.
