Job summary

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S./PhD in physics, radiological engineering, or related field with relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements for radioactive materials and radiation-generating devices.
• Experience applying radiation protection principles to complex facilities and research environments.
• Ability to identify and solve difficult technical or regulatory problems and implement safe, compliant solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of high hazard radiological work ensuring ALARA and safety standards.
• Develop and maintain radiation protection programs and documentation.
• Review regulatory requirements and ensure RPG procedures reflect current regulations.
• Interact with regulatory agencies and lead audits/inspections.
• Provide technical oversight to junior staff and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
