Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense is seeking a technical leader to serve as the technical spokesperson for the radiation product line in Oak Ridge, TN. You will translate customer and market needs into go-to-market products and drive development, releases, and market adoption.

You will define product roadmaps, manage requirements, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and sales to prioritize R&D and ensure successful launches. Travel 25–50% may be required, with a SECRET clearance required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors and Advanced degrees in Science or Engineering preferred.
• Strong background or knowledge of Radiation Physics or similar.
• 5+ years of applicable experience in product development or marketing of radiation sensors.
• 3-5+ years of experience in product launches.
• CBRNE or Nuclear Safety market experience is required.
• Demonstrated experience in development, sales, or marketing of technical products.
• Proven capability to champion a product from development to launch.
• 25% to 50% travel.
• Must have or be able to obtain a SECRET level clearance.
• U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or eligible for export control license.

Responsibilities

• Define FLIR Detection Radiation Markets and develop market strategies.
• Define FLIR Detection Radiation Products and gather requirements.
• Manage product development process, budgets, and pricing to meet goals.
• Coordinate with management to prioritize R&D expenditures and roadmaps.
• Train sales team and distributors; support key customers and programs.
• Lead weekly status reports and prepare for reviews and boards.
