Job summary

The Oncology Technician will treat and monitor patients, support clinicians with care and client communication, perform phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, chemotherapy preparation and administration, and maintain accurate medical records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two or more years' experience in a specialty veterinary hospital.
• Ability to treat and monitor patients and support the clinician with client communication.
• Good communication skills and compassion are a must.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and monitor vitals.
• Perform phlebotomy and place IV catheter.
• Assist with chemotherapy administration and dosing.
• Calculate basic medical math and prepare materials.
• Discharge patients with owner education on chemo and side effects.
• Maintain hospital operations and stock.
