Job description

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an extraordinary Oncology Veterinary Technician!

RVT Pay: $25.60 - $49.15 / hour

Responsibilities include:

1. Perform physical exams and monitor vital signs.
2. Understand normal lab parameters and alert the veterinarian to abnormalities.
3. Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters.
4. Calculate medical dosages accurately.
5. Prepare and administer chemotherapy agents safely.
6. Discharge oncology patients with proper client education.
7. Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
8. Assist with anesthesia and monitoring equipment as needed.
9. Maintain hospital cleanliness and stock supplies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum two years' experience in a specialty veterinary hospital.
• Strong communication skills and compassion.
• Self-motivated, quick thinker, able to multitask.
• Knowledge of chemotherapy protocols and tumor types is preferred.
