Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in a specialty veterinary hospital.
• Ability to perform physical exams and monitor patients.
• Strong communication with clinicians and clients.
• Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and monitor patient status.
• Count and interpret vital signs, capillary refill, mucous membranes, temperature and respiration.
• Perform phlebotomy and place IV catheters.
• Set up materials for chemotherapy administration.
• Dispense and administer oral chemotherapy agents.
• Monitor and support patients during chemotherapy and cancer treatment.
• Communicate with clinicians and clients about patient status and care plan.
• Maintain hospital operations and stock supplies.
