Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Physics or a related field.
• ABR Certification – required.
• IEMA Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiation Therapy – required.
• Clinical medical physics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical physics support for all external beam and brachytherapy services.
• Oversee QA, commissioning, calibration and acceptance testing of equipment.
• Develop and maintain departmental physics policies and QA programs.
• Serve as Department Radiation Safety Officer and lead radiation safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists and therapists for optimal treatment planning.
• Lead education, orientation and technical training for staff and students.
• Support innovation and clinical projects within radiation oncology.
• Assist in quality improvement initiatives and safety meetings.
