Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in Physics or a related field.
- ABR certification is required.
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist – Radiation Therapy (IEMA) required.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical physics support for external beam, brachytherapy, SRS, and SBRT.
- Oversee acceptance testing, commissioning, calibration, and ongoing QA.
- Develop and maintain departmental physics policies, procedures, and QA programs.
- Serve as Department Radiation Safety Officer.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists for planning and delivery.
- Participate in QA, radiation safety meetings, and strategic planning.
- Assist with staff education, orientation, and technical instruction.
