Job summary

Carle Health in Peoria, IL seeks a full-time Radiation Oncology physicist to provide medical physics support across external beam, brachytherapy, SRS and SBRT. You will collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists and therapists to optimize treatment planning and delivery while maintaining safety and regulatory standards.

ABR certification and IEMA radiation therapy licensure are required, with sign-on and relocation assistance offered.

Qualifications

• Medical physics experience in a clinical setting.
• ABR certification required.
• IEMA Radiation Therapy licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical physics support for external beam radiation therapy, brachytherapy, SRS and SBRT.
• Oversee equipment acceptance testing, commissioning, calibration and QA.
• Develop and maintain physics policies, procedures and QA programs.
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists and therapists to optimize treatment planning and delivery.
• Participate in safety meetings, training and quality improvement initiatives.
