Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a full-time Radiation Oncology physicist to join our Peoria, IL team. You will provide comprehensive medical physics support for EBRT, brachytherapy, SRS, and SBRT, collaborating closely with physicians and therapists to optimize treatment planning and delivery.

The role includes QA oversight, policy development, and departmental leadership as Radiation Safety Officer. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are available; partial remote work may be considered for nearby

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Physics or a related field is required.
• ABR certification required for Therapeutic Radiologic Physics.
• IEMA licensure as Rad Tech - Radiation Therapy required.
• Experience in medical physics or a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical physics support for external beam RT, brachytherapy, SRS, and SBRT.
• Collaborate with physicians, dosimetrists, and therapists to optimize treatment planning and delivery.
• Oversee QA programs, commissioning, calibration, and equipment acceptance testing.
• Develop and maintain departmental physics policies and procedures.
• Serve as Department Radiation Safety Officer and lead radiation safety initiatives.
• Support education and training for staff and students.
