Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) with ACLS to deliver diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical and preventive care under the supervision of a licensed physician. The PA will examine, diagnose, write prescriptions, take histories and provide surgical assistance in both inpatient and outpatient settings, under Texas law and Houston Methodist policies.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree, have graduated from an NCCPA-accredited PA program, and possess PA licensure in Texas

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Graduate from NCCPA-accredited Physician Assistant program.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical and preventive care under physician supervision.
• Exams, diagnoses and prescribes within scope of practice.
• Order therapies and interpret tests under a physician’s guidance.
• Collaborate with health care team to promote patient safety and quality care.
