Job summary

Houston Methodist in Houston seeks a Physician Assistant (ACLS) to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, surgical and preventive care under a physician's supervision. The PA exams, diagnoses and decides treatment for patients, including analyzing and interpreting x-rays and lab results, writes prescriptions, takes patients' histories, provides surgical assistance, and orders various forms of therapy.

This position may work in both inpatient and outpatient situations and can perform independently

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and NCCPA-accredited PA program completion.
• One year of clinical experience.
• Texas PA licensure and NCCPA certification required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications; DEA license within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Exams, diagnoses, and determines treatment for patients under physician supervision.
• Writes prescriptions and provides surgical assistance.
• Works in both inpatient and outpatient settings under physician supervision.
