Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Michigan is seeking an experienced oncology-focused registered nurse to lead and coordinate evidence-based nursing care. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while mentoring the nursing team and educating patients and families.

You will collaborate with radiation oncology and other specialists to ensure safe, effective treatment and strong documentation. BSN is preferred, and current Michigan licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS).
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion compassionate patient care by leading the coordination and delivery of nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Delegate, supervise, and document to ensure seamless care coordination and family education.
• Serve as a communication hub for patients, families, and the health care team.
• Identify opportunities to improve care delivery and collaborate on solutions.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and monitor treatment-related side effects.
• Provide psychosocial oncology support and connect patients with resources.
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and other specialists for treatment planning and delivery.
• Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to quality assurance initiatives.
