Qualifications

• Current, active Michigan RN license.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and medical equipment.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
• Preferred: Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience.
• Preferred: Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN).
• Experience with IV therapy and chemotherapy administration.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients' health status and document findings in the EHR.
• Administer chemotherapy and oncology medications per protocol and orders.
• Provide direct patient care including IV therapy and symptom management.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effects, and self-care.
• Collaborate with oncologists, social workers, and palliative care specialists.
• Monitor for adverse reactions and report changes promptly to the team.
• Maintain a safe, organized care environment with infection control practices.
• Demonstrate clinical judgment and manage multiple patients efficiently.
• Support emotional well-being and practice active listening with patients.
• Engage in ongoing professional development in oncology nursing.
