Job summary

Atrium Health Cabarrus - Oncology: Radiation is seeking a part-time Medical Physics Support role. You will assist the physics team with simulation, planning, delivery, QA, and data handling, while helping with commissioning and troubleshooting.

Strong detail orientation and safety mindset are essential, as is experience with dosimetry tools and documentation. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and are comfortable with MS Excel/Word; coding experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Medical Physics, Physics, Engineering, IT, CS, Radiation Therapy or related field.
Proficient use of MS Excel and Word; coding or programming experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

Assist medical physics team with simulation, treatment planning, treatment delivery and QA.
Support commissioning, acceptance testing and troubleshooting of equipment.
Perform QA procedures and maintain documentation on time.
Maintain dosimetry equipment and ensure calibrations are up to date.
Enter and submit dosimetry data for clinical trials and registries.
Analyze data for process improvement and clinical research.
Support training of staff on new modalities and safety protocols.
