Job summary
Atrium Health in Concord, NC, seeks an assistive Medical Physics Technician to support the clinical physics team in simulation, treatment planning, delivery, and QA. You will help with commissioning, acceptance testing, and troubleshooting of imaging and treatment equipment.
You will maintain dosimetry gear, ensure calibrations are up to date, and enter data for trials and registries. This role requires attention to detail, safety, regional travel to network centers, and collaboration with staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (see above).
- Proficiency with MS Excel and Word.
- Experience or interest in coding and/or programming is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Assist medical physics team with simulation, treatment planning, treatment delivery, and QA.
- Support commissioning and acceptance testing tasks.
- Troubleshoot and maintain simulation, planning, and delivery equipment.
- Perform QA procedures and document results on time.
- Maintain calibrations on dosimetry equipment and recordkeeping.
- Travel regionally to network centers to support duties.
- Assist in data entry for dosimetry data for trials/registries.
- Contribute to data analysis for clinical process improvement.
