  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiation Oncology Technology/Radiation Therapy.
  • Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy.
  • Current Indiana State License as a Radiation Therapist.
  • Three years of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
  • Demonstrated clinical competency in radiation therapy and CT simulation.
  • BLS certification or obtain during Orientation.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Radiation Oncology Manager is responsible for the overall coordination, daily operations, clinical quality, staffing, and performance of the Radiation Oncology Department. This position provides leadership and oversight to radiation therapy staff and ensures the delivery of safe, efficient, high-quality radiation therapy services in accordance with physician orders, department policies, hospital standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

This is a working clinical management position. The Radiation Oncology Manager is expected to maintain clinical competency and participate in the department's routine radiation therapist staffing and patient care activities as part of the normal work schedule. The manager will perform radiation therapy and CT simulation duties alongside other department staff based on daily staffing needs and patient volume. Dedicated administrative or office time will be scheduled as department staffing and operational needs allow.

The Radiation Oncology Manager serves as a clinical and operational resource for radiation therapy staff and is responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing, coordinating daily departmental activities, monitoring quality and patient safety, supporting regulatory and accreditation requirements, ensuring radiation safety practices are followed, and promoting a positive experience for patients, families, providers, employees, and other stakeholders.

The Radiation Oncology Manager works collaboratively with Radiation Oncologists, Medical Oncology, nursing, physics, dosimetry, hospital leadership, vendors, regulatory agencies, and other departments to ensure the effective operation and continued development of Radiation Oncology services. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiation Oncology Technology/Radiation Therapy.
  • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
  • Current Indiana State License as a Radiation Therapist.
  • Three years of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
  • Demonstrated clinical competency in radiation therapy and CT simulation.
  • BLS certification or must obtain during Orientation and prior to reporting to the department.
Preferred Job Requirements
  • Prior supervisory, management, or demonstrated leadership experience in Radiation Oncology or a related healthcare setting preferred.

Working Conditions
