Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network in the Pocono region is seeking a Radiation Therapist Supervisor to lead the assigned care delivery team and associated work processes, ensuring delivery of safe, high-quality radiotherapy.

You will supervise staff performance, administer and coordinate CT-simulation procedures, collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and reinforce treatment plans while upholding safety standards. Day shift at Cancer Center- Pocono, 181 E Brown St.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma in radiation therapy program.
• 4 years of experience as a radiation therapist with leadership, problem solving, organizational, technical, and patient care skills.
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (ARRT).
• Upon Hire and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff performance including coaching, counseling, discipline and evaluations.
• Supervises radiation treatments, builds calendars and performs daily treatments.
• Obtains patient history, answers questions, explains procedures and assists with scheduling.
• Initiates collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary team as needed.
• Provides direct/indirect patient care to complete CT-Simulation and other treatments.
• Participates in developing departmental procedures.
• Reinforces treatment recommendations and cares for radiated area and side effects.
• Observes patients for unusual reactions or events.
• Monitors radiation equipment inventory and follows safety regulations.
• Ensures area complies with hospital policy and regulations.
• Prepares/administers contrast under Radiation Oncologist supervision.
