Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking a Radiation Therapist to administer prescribed radiation therapy across LVHN/LVPG sites and mentor students. You will work in collaboration with a care team to ensure safe, effective treatment delivery.

Travel between LVHN Radiation Oncology sites as needed, participate in CT simulation, and stay current with evolving techniques. A strong foundation in radiation therapy and patient communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Assoc. Degree in Radiation Therapy or equivalent or technical program completed.
• Ability to resolve problems using basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.
• Ability to keep confidential information about patients and staff.
• Ability to relay information, schedule appointments, and explain hospital policies.
• Knowledge of electronic health records.
• BLS within 90 days and ARRT within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed radiation therapy and monitor patients during treatment.
• Schedule daily treatments and answer patient questions.
• Liaise with care team; reinforce treatment and side effect guidance.
• Observe for adverse reactions.
• Monitor radiation equipment and follow safety regulations.
• Participate in CT simulation procedures.
• On-call involvement, if applicable.
• Stay current on developments in radiation therapy and equipment.
• Mentor students and train staff on equipment and procedures.
