Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore is seeking a Clinical Coordinator in Radiation Oncology to coordinate clinical services and support the care team. The role focuses on improving patient experience and efficient delivery of treatment within a Magnet-designated academic center.

You will work with physicians, nurses and allied staff to manage patient lists, appointments, and post-treatment follow-up while engaging with patients and families throughout the care continuum.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of three years clinical experience.
• Current license in related health care field.
• Oncology-specific experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate services for the radiation oncology department with clinical teams and referring physicians.
• Obtain and oversee patient clinical information for care coordination.
• Attend multi-disciplinary conferences, huddles and tumor boards.
• Maintain active, pending and completed patient lists for procedures.
• Liaise with patients and families regarding all aspects of care.
• Assist physicians and clinical staff with procedures and supplies.
• Coordinate follow-ups, tests and treatment-related appointments.
