Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System seeks a Radiation Oncology coordinator to optimize patient flow and coordinate care across the oncology team. You will support physicians and staff, ensuring efficient delivery of procedures and patient information handling in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have at least three years of oncology experience, a current healthcare license, and excellent communication skills to liaise with patients, families and providers throughout the care continuum.

Qualifications

• Oncology experience required, three years preferred.
• Current license in Nursing, Medical Assistant or related field.
• Strong coordination and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate radiation oncology services with clinical teams and physicians.
• Oversee patient information flow to support timely care.
• Attend multi-disciplinary conferences and tumor boards.
• Maintain active, pending and completed patient lists.
• Arrange consultations, tests, procedures and follow-ups.
• Serve as liaison with patients and families for procedures.
