Job summary

MarinHealth is seeking a Patient Support Specialist in Radiation Oncology to collaborate with patients, physicians, and staff, ensuring patient needs are fulfilled and supporting department operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating scans and procedures, obtaining insurance authorizations, and maintaining open communication within the Radiation Therapy team while upholding MarinHealth’s CARES standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of full-time medical care experience required.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.
• IAM required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining open communication and collaborating with all members of the Radiation Therapy team.
• Acting as liaison between patients and physicians.
• Obtaining authorizations from insurance companies for diagnostic studies.
• Coordinating the scheduling of scans and procedures.
• Ensuring patients are roomed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Keeping exam rooms clean and stocked with linens and supplies.
