Job summary

Tampa General Hospital seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN/PA) to join the Radiation Oncology team in Tampa, FL. The APP will deliver autonomous and collaborative care across ambulatory and inpatient settings, focusing on treatment planning, symptom management, and cancer care coordination.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in Florida.
• Acute Care, Adult Gerontology Acute Care, Family Nurse Practitioner board certification will be considered for APRNs.
• National certification required for PAs.
• Prior oncology/radiation oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ambulatory evaluations for new and established patients undergoing radiation therapy.
• Perform inpatient consultations for oncology patients requiring radiation oncology evaluation.
• Collaborate with attending radiation oncologists to develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans.
• Participate in simulation appointments and related procedures.
• Provide pre- and post-treatment education, counseling, and symptom management.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams including medical, surgical, palliative care, nursing, and ancillary services.
• Interpret diagnostic and laboratory data to inform treatment decisions.
• Identify changes in patient condition or barriers to care and escalate as needed.
• Demonstrate autonomous clinical decision-making within the Radiation Oncology team.
