Job summary

Avera is seeking a Medical Doctor to join a multidisciplinary oncology care team. The role provides and manages direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a defined service area.

You will assess, diagnose, treat, and educate patients per approved protocols, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, maintain records, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient care. Requires MD or DO license and DEA registration applicable at hire.

Qualifications

• Licensed Medical Doctor (MD) in the service state.
• Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) licensed to practice medicine.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients according to approved protocols.
• Provide medical services and health education to patients and families.
• Perform necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Interpret information from the diagnostic process and plan care.
• Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality patient care.
