Job summary

Avera is seeking a physician to join a multidisciplinary care team dedicated to moving health forward. You will provide direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and ongoing patient care within a defined service area.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, treating, and educating patients and families, performing necessary procedures, and coordinating with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes while maintaining accurate records and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active medical license in the service state.
• Board eligibility or board certification preferred.
• For hire, a valid DEA license is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients per approved protocols and standards.
• Provide medical services and health education to patients and families.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
• Interpret diagnostic information and formulate a care plan.
• Maintain patient records accurately and confidentially.
• Collaborate with care team and ensure appropriate referrals when needed.
