Job summary

Avera is recruiting for a physician to deliver direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and comprehensive care within a defined practice area. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality services that move health forward for patients and communities.

Responsibilities include patient assessment and treatment, health education, and collaboration with care teams to ensure safe, effective care. Licensure and board status are required, with DEA license upon hire.

Qualifications

• Doctor must be licensed to practice in the state where services are provided.
• Board certification or eligibility required for MD/DO tracks.
• US DEA license required or upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients per approved protocols and standards.
• Provide medical services and health education to patients and families.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
• Interpret diagnostic information and formulate care plans.
• Maintain patient records accurately and ensure safety practices.
• Collaborate with care team and refer patients when appropriate.
• Support adherence to policies, procedures, and care standards.
• Promote environment of care and safety.
• Coordinate workflow with team for efficient care.
