Radiation Oncologist, Palliative Disease Site Leader

Full‑time faculty position in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The Leader will provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for the palliative oncology program, act as the primary representative of the disease site, and advance coordinated, high‑quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the program’s strategic vision and guide clinical growth.
• Lead program development and drive performance against key clinical, operational, and quality goals.
• Contribute to departmental decision‑making and continuously improve patient outcomes, access, and experience.
• Represent the disease site in the department’s development within the new freestanding adult inpatient cancer hospital.
• Integrate palliative oncology priorities into clinical planning, operational design, and care model innovation.
• Work with the Thoracic Disease Site leader to establish the research direction, including clinical trials, translational research, and outcomes research.
• Provide clinical care focused on palliative radiation oncology.
• Engage in teaching and research activities at the Main Campus in Boston as appropriate, with an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $481,000 – $534,000. Compensation may be modified and may include performance‑based incentives. Employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits program, including health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and a retirement plan.
