Job summary

Technovative Applications is seeking a Systems Software Engineer II to design, build, and verify software for radar and defense systems. You'll work on embedded real-time control, signal processing, and data handling, operating in Linux and Windows environments.

The role involves system-level integration, peer reviews, and collaboration across software, hardware, and test teams. You will own software features, contribute to architecture, and participate in design reviews and release activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with radar or defense systems is required.
• Embedded real-time software experience is essential.
• Linux device drivers or low-level hardware interfaces preferred.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and at least one of C#, Java, Python with GUI work.
• Experience with real-time/embedded OS, HIL testing, or networking is desirable.
• Familiarity with automated testing, CI, static analysis, or MB dread development.
• Knowledge of secure software development and cybersecurity for defense systems.
• Active U.S. DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and test software for radar and defense systems.
• Develop embedded real-time control and data processing software.
• Translate requirements into designs, code, tests, and documentation.
• Own features from requirements through release and verification.
• Coordinate cross-functional integration with hardware and systems teams.
• Review designs and code for correctness, performance, and security.
• Plan, estimate, and report progress to leadership.
